DAC Involvement Program
The Disadvantaged Community Involvement Program is designed to ensure the involvement of disadvantaged communities (DACs), economically distressed areas (EDAs), or underrepresented communities (collectively referred to as DACs) in IRWM planning efforts. The Proposition 1 2016 IRWM Guidelines established the general process, procedures, and criteria that DWR is using to implement the IRWM DAC Involvement Program.
DWR has completed award of over $51 million to the 12 Funding Areas identified in Proposition 1 as shown in the table below. The status and contact information for each grant is provided in the following table:

A change in the Grantee administering the San Francisco Program in 2019 resulted in a grant award split between two contracts; however, project sponsors throughout the Bay Area have been engaged continuously since award of the original contract in 2017. |
