Second Comment Period Opens for the Dam Safety and Climate Resilience Local Assistance (DSCR) Program Draft Guidelines and PSP
DWR has released the Dam Safety and Climate Resilience Local Assistance Program draft guidelines and proposal solicitation and ranking process (PSP) for a 15-day public comment period. This is a statewide program that will provide funding for repairs, rehabilitation, enhancements, and other dam safety projects at existing state jurisdictional dams and associated facilities. Up to $228 million is available using funds authorized by the California Budget Act of 2025 (Stats. 2025, Ch. 6, Sec. 144.)
The public comment period began on Aug. 12, 2026, and it will close at 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2026.

Following the review of public comments, DWR will release the final Program Guidelines and PSP to begin the solicitation period. Comments can be submitted by one of the following methods:
