Groundwater recharge ponds

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has announced draft decisions for groundwater basin boundary modification requests submitted by local agencies as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Basins boundaries were previously updated in 2016.


California State Parks and the Department of Water Resources announced the reopening of certain day-use areas and facilities at Lake Oroville State Recreation Area. The North and South Forebay day-use areas, aquatic center and visitor center are now open.

There is no threat to Oroville Dam. The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is taking precautionary measures detailed below to ensure the safety of other water infrastructure including power plants and power lines.
