The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is pleased to release the Draft List of Awards for the Central Valley Tributaries (CVT) Program.
After careful review of the applications received from the 2018-2019 solicitation, DWR is proposing to award two grants. The public may comment on these recommendations for 15 days from December 5-19, 2019.
These grants are designed to provide funding for multi-benefit flood risk reduction projects within the Central Valley and the Systemwide Planning Area to address flood risk and enhance ecosystems for urban communities, small communities, and rural areas.
Following the close of this public comment period and review of public comments, DWR will release the final list of awards and notify each recipient.
- Reclamation District 1001 (RD1001) award for $6,042,500, which will assist RD1001 to improve flood protection through strengthening of the Natomas Cross Canal (NCC) north levee, and the enhancement of the aquatic and riparian habitat within the NCC channel in Sutter County.
- Deer Creek Watershed Conservancy (DCWC) award for $1,562,550, which will assist DCWC to improve the flood protection and ecological aspects of Deer Creek in Tehama County.
The 15-day public comment period begins on December 5, 2019, and it will close at 5 p.m. on December 19, 2020. Submit your comments on the draft awards via email to CVT@water.ca.gov or by mail to:
