The underground secant pile wall is 95 percent complete and is targeted for completion in March of 2018. Foundation preparation continues for the roller-compacted concrete (RCC) splashpad. Phase Two of construction on the main spillway is expected to begin in May.

Today, DWR sent a memo to the local public water agencies participating in the development and construction of California WaterFix and issued the following statement from DWR Director Karla Nemeth. 


Today, a partnership of state and local agencies, working to help homeowners affected by California’s multi-year drought, finished connecting 755 homes to a safe, reliable, permanent water supply. 


Despite moderate January precipitation in the Sierra Nevada after an historically dry December, the February 1 DWR manual snow survey at Phillips Station found little snowpack.
