11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. PDT.
Zoom registration to be provided.
Background
The Safe Drinking Water, Wildfire Prevention, Drought Preparedness, and Clean Air Bond Act of 2024 (Proposition 4) made $75 million available to the Department of Water Resources (DWR) for projects that increase water conservation in agricultural and urban areas. Up to $10 million of the $75 million is planned for the expansion of CIMIS stations network to areas that have spatial data gaps and improvement of site conditions for existing stations. The CIMIS program intends to use these funds to purchase and install sensors and equipment for new CIMIS stations to be installed in areas that lack representative stations and to improve site conditions for existing stations that do not meet the standard reference conditions.
