Notice of Preparation for the Cache Creek Channel and Levee Rehabilitation Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is the Lead Agency for preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Cache Creek Channel and Levee Rehabilitation Project (proposed project) prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Consistent with the requirements of CEQA Guidelines section 15082, DWR as lead agency has issued this Notice of Preparation (NOP) to inform responsible agencies, the public, and trustee agencies of the decision to prepare an EIR. The purpose of this NOP is to provide information describing the proposed project and its potential environmental effects for those who may wish to comment regarding the scope and content of the information to be included in the EIR. Agencies should comment on such information as it relates to their statutory responsibilities in connection with the project.

The NOP, which contains a description of topics considered for the impact analysis in the EIR, can be reviewed at the Yolo County Clerk’s Office, 625 Court Street, Room B01, Woodland, CA 95776, and at the DWR Flood Maintenance and Operations Branch (FMO), 3310 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95821.
