While sheltering at home, join scientists from the California Department of Water Resources and explore our wonderful water resources. These family-friendly presentations bring science and the beauty of California’s outdoor world into your home.

In May, we will be diving into the Delta. Join us to learn about the fish, microscopic life, birds and other critters that make their homes in the largest estuary on the west coast.

Our first Water Wednesdays presentation takes place May 6 and introduces some of the fascinating fish that live in California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. In this live, family-friendly program, DWR scientist Nicole Kwan will share fascinating fish tails and answer your questions about the prehistoric sturgeon, the iconic Chinook salmon, or the tiny Delta smelt.

Watch on the DWR YouTube channel or pre-register and join through Zoom for an opportunity to ask Nicole your favorite fish questions.
