DWR removed a caution advisory that had been in effect since August 23 at Castaic Lake in Los Angeles County. DWR urges all recreational users to exercise caution and avoid direct contact with blue-green algae.

DWR is beginning assessment work on Pyramid Dam’s spillways in Los Angeles County as part of a statewide effort to reduce seismic and hydrologic risk to State Water Project (SWP) facilities spanning 705 miles throughout California.

DWR reduced the blue-green algae advisory to caution for Sawpit Beach at Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino County. Cleghorn Beach remains at warning advisory and people should avoid physical contact with the water at that location.
