Facilitation Support Services

The Facilitation Support Services program connects water management groups with professional facilitators to support local public agencies seeking to meet requirements of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Additionally, limited resources are available to support a range of integrated water management activities.

Services Offered
  • Stakeholder identification and outreach
  • Stakeholder assessment
  • Stakeholder liaison and mediation
  • Meeting facilitation
Who is eligible?

Water management groups must meet the following four minimum eligibility requirements to qualify for the program:

  • Demonstrate commitment to work collaboratively with others to meet the requirements of the SGMA.
  • Identify a clear and defined need for professional facilitation support services.
  • Demonstrate commitment to meet regularly and work diligently toward clear, defined goals.
  • Commit to providing logistical and administrative support.

Requests for facilitation support services will be evaluated on a continuous basis, and levels of support will vary. Priority will be given to newly forming groups and groups that have not received facilitation support previously.
