The Flood Maintenance Assistance Program (FMAP) is a new program that provides State funds for eligible maintenance activities to Local Maintaining Agencies (LMAs) and Maintenance Areas (MAs). This program will help ensure that State Plan of Flood Control facilities are properly maintained and have sufficient resources, including funding, to meet applicable federal regulations and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manual requirements.

The FMAP Program Guidelines and the Proposal Solicitation Package provide details about the type of work that is eligible and how to submit a proposal for funding. Contact the FMAP Program Manager (Jeff H. Van Gilder at jeff.vangilder@water.ca.gov) to get copies of the updated FY 2019-2020 documents along with the FMAP OMRR&R Agreement.

Deadline for submitting proposals:

  • July 31, 2019
